Lonesome:

It has many definitions, but of these, 3 ring blatant at this moment:

1) (Sad) feeling sad, or causing a feeling of sadness, because of being alone

2) (Desolate) isolated from human habitation

3) (Alone) having no one or nothing else around

A lovely little adage I have taken to heart:

------------ Now you must sleep in it."
